The not-for-profit Aircraft Owners and
Pilots Association, founded in 1939, is the world’s largest
aviation membership organization. AOPA’s more than 400,000 members comprise
the majority of all pilots and aircraft owners in the U.S. In addition
to ensuring that General Aviation remains safe, fun, and affordable,
AOPA works with government and business leaders to protect GA’s
contribution to the U.S. economy, and the vital role it plays in

The National Business Aviation Association,
Inc., based in Washington, DC, is a not-for-profit, nonpartisan
501(c)6 corporation dedicated to the success of the business aviation
community. For almost 55 years, NBAA has served this community through
its leadership efforts at all levels of government and business,
both in the United States and worldwide. The Association represents
the aviation interests of nearly 7,000 companies that own or operate
General Aviation aircraft as an aid to the conduct of their business,
or are involved with some other aspect of business aviation. NBAA
Member Companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion dollars
a number that is about half the U.S. gross domestic product
and employ more than 19 million people worldwide.

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association
is a national trade association representing over 50 American manufacturers
of fixed-wing aircraft, engines, avionics, and components. In addition
to building nearly all the general aviation aircraft flying in the
United States today, GAMA member companies also operate aircraft
fleets, airport fixed-based operations, pilot training, and maintenance
technician training facilities across the nation.

BE A PILOT is a national educational program
to help the public become more familiar with personal and business
General Aviation flying. BE A PILOT is run by GA Team 2000, Inc.,
a coalition comprised of the entire aviation community. The coalition’s
goals are to increase public understanding of General Aviation,
and individual participation in flying by the average person, always
a hallmark of U.S. and Canadian aviation. Sponsors range from aircraft
and equipment manufacturers to pilot organizations and aviation
trade associations, aviation publications, and aviation businesses.
